2010 All-Star Teams Announced!
Players And Coaches Revealed
After two years of determining the All-Star teams based on geography, this season’s game will feature a new format. With BTSH’s new conference and divisional structure debuting this year, Sunday’s contest will pit the elite from the Weyersberg Conference against the best from the Schumacher Conference.
Leading the Weyersberg Conference into battle will be the wholesome coaching tandem of Abby “Tayne” Meisterman (Denim Demons) and Corey “Chongo” Winters (What The Puck). The duo already has high hopes for the squad, as goalies Aaron “Coach” Pagdon (Denim Demons) and Dan “D.O.” Owens (Filthy Gorgeous) play for the two teams with the fewest goals allowed in the league. In addition, Becky Antar Novick of Filthy Gorgeous headlines a staunch defense that will stand in the way of Team Schumacher’s attack. The team will also boast several offensive studs. The Happy Little Elves’ Trevor Beauclair leads all rookies in scoring, and “The All-American Canadian” Adam Skuse hails from Cobourg, Ontario, Canada (the birthplace of hockey).
The Schumacher Conference will also have a dedicated coaching staff in the Gouging Anklebiters’ Amy Barrett Kovner and the Butchers’ Jesse Kalb. They are both happy to coach their own goalies in this game, as Mike O’Connor (Gouging Anklebiters) and Eric Ramirez (Butchers) were both selected. Three of the league’s top ten scorers will fill out a deep offense in Patrick Blohmé (Riots), Ben Bloom (Butchers), and Alex Derhohannesian (Gouging Anklebiters). Rookies Harvey Jaswal (Mega Touch) and Justin Ross (Fresh Kills) both lead their respective teams in goals and will provide additional depth to the attack. The intangibles are also covered, as Cobra Kai’s Mark Talercio adds some grit, while the always boisterous Laura MacNeil (Mathematics) will keep team morale high.
The All-Star Game will take place this Sunday, August 22 at 6:30 PM on the West Court of Tompkins Square Park. Prime seating in the dugouts is still available.
