Cobra Kai (1-3-1) vs. Sky Fighters (3-1)
Location:
Corlears North, 5:00 PM
All-Time Series: Tied 1-1
Game Notes: After losing their first three games of the season, Cobra Kai appears to have turned the corner with a tie against the Denim Demons and a win against the Gouging Anklebiters.  Newcomer Adriano Bratta leads the Dojo’s offense with seven goals, putting him amongst the league leaders as well.  Although the Sky Fighters suffered their first loss of the season in their last game against Filthy Gorgeous, they have still been a pleasant surprise.  Grizzled veteran Martin Cejka also has seven goals to lead the Sky Fighters.  Both Bratta and Cejka account for more than fifty percent of their respective team’s overall goals.
Keys to the Game:
1. The Sky Fighters have not played a game since May 4.  They’ll need to shake off the rust early in this one.
2. Paul “P.J.” Lopez has been one of the best goalies in BTSH this season.  Even in their losses, Cobra Kai has had a fighting chance in all of their games because of him.
3. The Sky Fighters are winless since their now infamous bet with the Happy Little Elves.  Captain Amy Lott needs to pick a new name for the Elves soon, so her team can–you know–return its focus to hockey.
Eli’s Pick: Sky Fighters.  Goalie James Stein has provided the balance that they were lacking in 2007.
Derek’s Pick: Cobra Kai.  Forward Greg “Lysol” Altman is one of the most underrated players in the league in playmaking ability, intimidation, and (according to himself) general good looks.  At least two of these qualities will be important in Sunday’s game.

Rehabs (2-1-1) vs. Happy Little Elves (1-3-1)
Location:
Corlears North, 3:00 PM
All-Time Series: First Meeting
Game Notes: Prior to their extended layoff, the Rehabs had won two games in a row.  Can they regain their momentum or will their time off send them on a downward spiral?
Eli’s Pick: Rehabs
Derek’s Pick: Rehabs

Mexican Standoff (1-3-1) vs. Dark Rainbows (4-1)
Location:
Corlears South, 3:00 PM
All-Time Series: Dark Rainbows lead 4-1
Game Notes: Although the series history between these two teams is skewed in favor of the defending champs, Mexican Standoff is looking for their second consecutive upset against the Dark Rainbows.
Eli’s Pick: Dark Rainbows
Derek’s Pick: Dark Rainbows.  Adam “Legen(d) Killer” Rubens claims the Dark Rainbows are the model for all other BTSH teams to follow.

Unicorns (3-2) vs. What The Puck (5-0)
Location:
Moffo, 3:00 PM
All-Time Series: Tied 6-6
Game Notes: What The Puck captain Larry “Mad Dog” Zimmer was prescient with his guarantee of victory against the Tuques.  However, their ranks were thin, which could be problematic with this week’s game at Moffo.  The Unicorns did win last week, but still boast the least attractive goalie in BTSH.
Eli’s Pick: What The Puck.  Although, the lack of a guarantee from Mad Dog is disappointing and disconcerting.
Derek’s Pick: What The Puck.  However, they could run into problems if only six of them show up again.

Gouging Anklebiters (0-5) vs. Filthy Gorgeous (2-2)
Location:
Corlears North, 4:00 PM
All-Time Series: Filthy Gorgeous leads 3-2
Game Notes: The Gouging Anklebiters seem to be stuck in quicksand, as they continue to sink deeper and deeper in the standings.  Filthy Gorgeous is currently on a two game winning streak this season, and they have won the last three matchups in this series.
Eli’s Pick: Filthy Gorgeous
Derek’s Pick: Filthy Gorgeous.  A classic battle of Ash vs. Sand.

Bad Touch (0-4-1) vs. Mighty Squirrels (3-0-2)
Location:
Corlears South, 4:00 PM
All-Time Series: Mighty Squirrels lead 3-1
Game Notes: The Mighty Squirrels are one win away from equaling their win total from the entire 2007 season.
Eli’s Pick: Mighty Squirrels
Derek’s Pick: Mighty Squirrels

Fresh Kills (1-3-0-1) vs. Corlears Hookers (3-1)
Location:
Moffo, 4:00 PM
All-Time Series: Corlears Hookers lead 1-0
Game Notes: Despite having their game postponed due to the weather, the Corlears Hookers showed up anyway and kept fresh by scrimmaging against a rag-tag assortment of league members.  Fresh Kills is looking to break a three game losing streak.
Eli’s Pick: Corlears Hookers.  Dutch and Dutch’s Brother are due for a breakout game.
Derek’s Pick: Corlears Hookers

LBS (3-2) vs. Tuques (1-4)
Location:
Corlears South, 5:00 PM
All-Time Series: LBS leads 7-1
Game Notes: Although LBS lost their last game, Ken “The Alpha Male” Poulin returned to the lineup in mid-season form, scoring their only goal.  He will have to pick up his goal-scoring pace immensely if he hopes to equal last season’s total of 101.
Eli’s Pick: LBS.  Six goals for The Alpha Male.
Derek’s Pick: LBS.  Seven goals for The Alpha Male.

Denim Demons (4-0-1) vs. Mathematics (2-3)
Location:
Moffo, 5:00 PM
All-Time Series: Mathematics lead 2-1
Game Notes: Although captain Adam “Legen(d) Killer” Rubens bleeds Demon red, he has gone on record that he would totally buy and wear a Mathematics t-shirt if given the opportunity.  With team funds low, the Mathematics are considering this offer.

Media Records:
Eli: 23-15
Derek: 23-15
