My name…My Name…is Hockey Rich!! But you already knew that. I am off the Alberto Del Rio bandwagon. Unlike the Elves, he started off hot, but couldn’t get it done when it counted most. You sir, are not good enough to play the NEDI.
Here’s your Box Score:
HOCKEY NIGHT IN TOMPKINS (Regional Telecast)
Dark Rainbows(2-0) 3, Fresh Kills(1-1) 2
A sprited affair took place as the sun began to set over Tompkins. A renewal of a rivalry dating back to the last decade. With the game nodded at 1 at the half, the DR’s amped things up and took a 2-1 lead. The Rainbows appeared to appeared to switch things up, now playing a mostly defensive game, continually sending the ball deep into the FK zone, only taking chances when they had the clear advantage. Yet despite a defense first approach the Killers managed to notch the tying goal with roughly 7 minutes to play in regulation on a gorgeous one timer off of a pass from behind the net and past Raibows goaltender, John “The Edge” Meyer. Not wanting to risk going into sudden death, the Rainbows poured it on yet again and managed to scored what would eventually be the game winner with 3:30 left.
*Author’s note: Goal scorers not mentioned by name as the author of this comment was busy trying to snag rocket shots from the point from Kevin “The Planet” Foster, keeping a wary eye on the ever weaving and passing, yet never shooting Ariel, and alerting the refs of the hooliganism of one Mike Soko.
All told, this was a hard fought game, well played game by all. What btsh is about. Having a great time and checking any chippieness at the gate.
