Game Previews, Yo (Sept 21.)
Wednesday, September 17th, 2014La Famiglia at Fresh Kills
The winner of this matchup will have a clear shot at the 2 or 3 seed. If the Tuques win out, they are the 2 seed. If Fresh Kills wins out, they will finish no worse than 3. What this means is, if you win this game, you probably don’t have to face the Hookers until the finals…which is a really good thing, considering they are an approximate 17-3 in their existence (since 2007) in non-final playoff games.
Rich: The non-Elf in me is rooting hard for Fresh Kills, so we can get a possible Championship Game matchup of the two best franchises in the league. I think it will be a close low scoring game, with FK coming out with a 2-1 win.
Eli: Mike Dudolevitch, prominently pictured above, was not on the Rainbows in 2007. He might have been in high school back then. Fresh Kills, 3-2.
Derek: La Famiglia has struggled against the top division this season (even against WTP, they barely won), and this game will be no different. 4-1 win for FK.
Intern Nick: FK is too much to handle for all but the Hookers on a consistent basis, especially if they show their full lineup. Blue crew takes it 3-1.

Jackie’s birthday is coming up…so buy a beer for her the next time Plus she’s quietly putting up a stellar season with 2 goals and ***at least*** one really nifty assist.
Rehabs at Gremmies
Rich: Gremlins 3-1
Derek: Last week, the Rehabs won 3-2. That sounds good to me.
Eli: This game went to a shootout last week, but we see the Rehabs taking this one in regulation, 2-0.
Cobra Kai at Mathematics
Rich: Didn’t this used to be a rivalry? That’s as dead as the Fairy Tale Cup. CK 4-3 in what’s not really an upset.
Derek: I’d be pretty upset.
Gut Rot at Mega Touch
Rich: Gut Rot prevails 4-1
Derek: Mega’s really struggled this season, and Gut Rot looks decent again. 4-1 Gutties.
Eli: Gut Rot looked impressive last week. We see more of the same, as Gut Rot triumphs 5-2.
Happy Little Elves at Filthy Gorgeous
Rich: Elves got smoked last week. Filthy is sorta on fire. James and Suvin have best hockey duo on lockdown.
Derek: I’m watching Rudy on MSG right now, and the movie uses fake names for all of the players. I guess I can understand that, but how cool would it have been to see a young Joe Montana floating around? 6-0 James Pereira.
Eli: We feel like the Elves have had Filthy’s number of late, and see that trend continuing. Elves rebound with a 4-2 win.
August 3rd Preview: Part II
Friday, August 1st, 2014Corlears Hookers at Happy Little Elves (by Eli)
Well this should be fun! The Hookers lead the Brown Division and have the league’s second best record. The Elves lead the $h0wT!m3 Division and have the league’s best record. Dustin played the first half of the All-Star Game in goal for the Heels. Steve played the second half of the All-Star Game in goal for the Heels. We could go on and on, but we’ll just say that you should show up early to watch this one. Multiple Glanzers are already confirmed to be in attendance. And they’ll be rewarded with a 3-2 Elves victory.
