Dave Adds Another Trophy To His Resume

As a thank you to you, the loyal reader, we the writers thought we’d give you a snapshot of who’s going to btsh.org, and how they are getting there. Here are some interesting facts and figures we have noticed, taken directly from Google Analytics:

1. The most viewed post to this point in the season has been the preview for the games of Week 6. Perhaps visitors were attracted by the main photo of Fresh Kills’ Nick Hobbs donning a pair of Hanson brother-like glasses to promote the Game of the Week between his team and Cobra Kai. However, as intriguing as this matchup and the photo are, we can only assume that traffic for the post would have easily doubled had Fresh Kills’ Justin “The Boss” Ross allowed us to use a similar picture featuring him as well as Hobbs.

2. An occasionally searched term over the past two months was “demon beauty contest.” Our readers are obviously quite savvy, because although the media never reported on it, the Denim Demons did in fact hold a team beauty contest over the Memorial Day weekend. Entrants included Dave Shyu, Lauren C., “Hacksaw” Jim Dandeneau, Danny Polinsky, and Dez Penascino. However, due to his perfect score in the swimsuit competition, David Kenneth Fraser was the clear cut winner and was thus declared the undisputed “Most Beautiful Denim Demon.”

3. BTSH.org accumulated the most pageviews for the season on March 21, the day the team previews for Cobra Kai and the Mathematics were posted. Sources indicate that a bulk of these pageviews came from Sky Fighters captain Dan Hopper, who repeatedly hit the reload button on his browser in disbelief that his former teammate Chris “Big Sexy” Shumaker had joined Cobra Kai. However, this explains only half the story. We can also verify that this picture of Mathematics defender Justin “Ballard” Perras and the intrigue surrounding the Mathematics anonymous general manager created a ton of buzz.

Everyone Loves The Denim Demons

As a thank you to you, the loyal reader, we the writers thought we’d give you a snapshot of who’s going to btsh.org, and how they are getting there. Here are some interesting facts and figures we have noticed, taken directly from Google Analytics:

1. As expected, the United States and Canada rank as the first and second countries in terms of site traffic, combining for well over 90% of visits. However, it is a little surprising that Switzerland ranks third with 75 visits since June 1. We at the media can only infer that this is due to our unbiased and neutral approach to reporting the BTSH news. Also of note are Israel and South Africa, which each had three visits during this time. Thank you to the Denim Demons’ Jeff Kamen for checking the site while pursuing a Master’s Degree in Israel and Cobra Kai’s Will Kuhns for checking in while working at the World Cup in South Africa.

2. Site traffic peaked on Monday, June 7. Although visitors were most likely looking for the results of the Sega NHL 94 tournament from the previous day, they were instead treated to a picture of Denim Demon David Kenneth Fraser doing a butterfly stretch with the Week 7 box scores. Upon seeing how many people were interested in stretching techniques, Demon captain Adam “Legend Killer” Rubens graciously posted a full lesson on pre-game calisthenics several weeks later. As of now, that post has been viewed 209 times.

Hello Czech Republic!

Analytics

As a thank you to you, the loyal reader, we, the writers, thought we’d give you a snapshot of who’s going to btsh.org, and how they are getting there. Here are some interesting facts and figures we have noticed, taken directly from Google Analytics:

1. While the bulk (96%) of site traffic comes from the United States, one of the highest ranked foreign sources is the Czech Republic with nearly 20 visits in the last month.  Undoubtedly, this can be attributed to Martin “Ocho Cinco” Cejka’s large following in his fatherland.  However, a more interesting trend may be that Uganda ranks directly behind the Czech Republic with approximately 16 visitors.  We speculate that this trend can be attributed to Jason Eitel’s large following in his fatherland.

2. Unsurprisingly, more than 90% of the site’s New York state visits are from New York City.  The next three highest locations all come from western Suffolk County (Ronkonkoma, Yaphank, and Brentwood) and account for a combined 4%.  According to league registration records, a certain Happy Little Elf, who is one of the site’s most frequent commenters, happens to reside and work in this region.

3. The top keywords that have brought people to the BTSH site are as follows: “btsh”, “btsh.org”, and “btsh tuques”.  Clearly, the “Tuques hockey.” marketing campaign has worked, as the team is now one of the hottest trends on btsh.org.  Already, a “Cobra Kai hockey.” campaign is in the works for next season.

4. The title for most searched individual on btsh.org belongs to the Rehabs’ own Stacy Kehoe, the namesake for the Stacy S. Kehoe Award for Toughness & Grace.  The following keywords all made the top 20 searches (in rank order): “stacy kehoe new york,” “stacy kehoe btsh,” “stacy kehoe pics,” and “stacy kehoe.”  We can only imagine what type of “stacy kehoe pics” one might be searching for, but if nothing else, we do recommend the photo from the 2008 Week 3 Box Scores.  Other high-rated Rehabs searches include “chantel arroyo,” “btsh rehabs,” and “romeo goalie rehabs.”

5. Although league veteran Zack Tinkelman of the Denim Demons ranks nowhere near the top keyword searches, his father, Joe Tinkelman, cracks the top 25.  In fact, he ranks as the most popular Demons-related search, almost doubling the next in line, “chernoski.”

Dutch’s Parents Are Avid Readers of BTSH.org

Analytics

A Brief Glimpse At BTSH.org
As a thank you to you, the loyal reader, we, the writers, thought we’d give you a snapshot of who’s going to btsh.org and how they are getting there.  Here are some interesting trends we have noticed, taken directly from Google Analytics.

1. While the largest volume of site traffic comes from the United States (no surprise there), the second-ranked country is not Canada…it’s France.  This can most likely be attributed to the Tuques’ iconic status in Marseilles.  On a side note, one person has visited the site from Turkey, but he stayed on the site for thirteen minutes.

2. Although New York and New Jersey represent the bulk of U.S. based site traffic (again, no shocker there), the third highest state is not in the Northeast.  Rather, it is the great state of Wisconsin.  Without a doubt, this can only be the result of Dutch’s legions of fans back home monitoring his play.  Plus, one or two of them might be looking for Dutch’s Brother.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, no one from Alabama has visited.

3. The top keywords that have brought people to the BTSH site are as follows: “btsh”, “btsh.org”, “ant ventolieri”, and “street hockey”.  Yes, more people come to the site looking for Ant than they do for street hockey.  One can only assume that Ant is forcing his Foot Locker interns to repeatedly google his name and then go to all sites that find it.  Oh yeah, and the number five keyword?  You guessed it: “ellery gillette”.

4. Another interesting keyword we discovered was “beverly hills jeff lesser”.  Although it is probable that whoever searched for that term did not find exactly what he wanted, this has provided the media with a new nickname.  Jeff Lesser will now be known as “Hollywood”.

5. Several people have also visited the site searching “ken georgine paulin”.  No, Ken “The Alpha Male” Poulin and Georgine “Mulva” Paulin are not related.  In fact, they spell and pronounce their last names differently, as seen in the previous sentence.
