Happy Birthday $howT!m3!
Despite a flurry of activity this past weekend, the most monumental event was easily league side show Hector “$howT!m3” Melendez’s 26th birthday. Although many festivities were brainstormed for the occasion, only a handful came to fruition. $howT!m3 planned on making a grand entrance via car (or cat, we’re not sure) on to the Tompkins courts, but was unable to procure said means of conveyance (even the cat!). Thus, he was reduced to walking through the gates like a commoner. Even with this setback, the Rehabs’ victory was the sweetest present of all.
To continue celebrating his birthday and the Rehabs’ win, $howT!m3 planned on holding a 20 person Irish Car Bomb drinking session. Although he was only able to convince four other people to join him in this endeavor, it didn’t make his birthday any less special. Love for $howT!m3 was definitely in the air.
Legends Of Rock
This past Sunday at Parkside Lounge, Adam “Legend Killer” Rubens hosted the first ever BTSH Rock Band event. Although attendance was a little lower than expected, the evening was still a huge success. Mega Touch was out in force as Molly Brown rocked out to “Round and Round” and “White Wedding”, while Katie Hasty sang “Sabotage”. Fellow Touchers Joe Lops and Eric Devlin joined in on guitar and drums respectively. Although his memory of the event is a little hazy, Craig “Ug” LaCombe of Unicorns praised his teammates Ted, Amy, Christian, and (possibly) John Mark for their excellent version of “Cherub Rock” as well.
Rubens also made sure to extol Bob “Olmec” Weyersberg’s rendition of “Ballroom Blitz”, Aaron “Coach” Pagdon’s version of “California Uber Alles”, and Ana Hurka-Robles’ interpretation of “El Scorcho”. Of course, Pagdon and Hurka-Robles, as well as the rest of the Demons, may have had an advantage over their fellow BTSHers, as they’ve been prepping for this event for months.
The Quota Has Been Met
As promised, the Dark Rainbows finally had a representative at the East Village Tavern after Sunday’s games. And yes, visual proof does exist.
Registration Has Begun!
The ACS Charity Tournament is scheduled for May 2, and registration has already started! Please follow this link if you are interested in playing or to get more details.

Reason to Love Her: As captain of the Mighty Squirrels, she promotes a strong image of a chick broad dame woman in power.
Reason to Hate Her: She takes advantage of the fact that most refs will not call a penalty against an attractive female…except “Hacksaw” Jim Dandeneau.
Fast Fact: She holds an undefeated record (1-0) in pool table wrestling.
Favorite Things: rodents, the New York Jets, the exemplary work done at The Craig School, track jackets

Things the Media Will Continue to Overhype about Her: Her shrewd coaching abilities, as demonstrated when she led the East River West All-Stars to victory last season
Down the Road: After having a different Ass Captain for five consecutive seasons, Rachel is overthrown for her Henry VIII-like capriciousness in a bloodless coup. With Rachel out of the picture for good, the council of Marie Marberg, Jesse Kalb, Tim “(S)crappy” Gray, Eric Breitman, and Rob “Mungo” Gorden now leads the Squirrels. Rachel finishes her BTSH career in the extremely demeaning position of being Ben Chadwick’s Ass Captain on the Happy Little Elves.

i was too busy partying it up with $howT!m3 for his Bday but i would have loved to be at the rockband gathering seeing as i am a big guitar hero, rockband gamer…..im sure if i were there with my crew we woulda stole the $how away…..i would love if the league could do it again so i could show up and let out my inner rockstar
You know what weould be a GOOD trade? Bob trading Derek and Eli for Jayson Blair. Yes Blair was dismissed from the NY Times for stealing material from other newspapers, inventing quotes and lying about his whereabouts…but at least the man knew SOMETHING about hockey!!
It was an honor standing next to my man Show…being peer pressured into wearing the Rehabs shirt, but make no mistake about it…Hockey Rich is an Elf 4 Life!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rock band was a blast, though i caught it right at the end. we might try to do it at east village tavern sometime in the near future.
i heard rachel goes to ‘The Craig School’ every night!
THANKS to everyone who attended and everyone who sent much love via facebook, email and text messeges. I had a blast and I owe it all to BTSH and Rich for YES,wearing the highly demanded “Rehab $howT!m3” T-Shirt.
Thanks to Craig for being a good sport also about the signing of the gameball. Much Love Dude and that game was a blessing to be played.
