Week 5…3 (of 6) Stars
BTSH Universe….I’ve got some baaaaaaaaad neeeewwwwsss. Since there are no games next week there will be no previews. However I’ve also got some good news. Since there are no previews, we could do more than 3 stars, so we’ll double up and hand out six. And actually…that’s not good news that’s great because instead of 397 people feeling shame for not being recognized, only 394 people this week should hang their heads low.
6th Star ******

This Centipede game maybe over for Tim K of the Tuques, but his string of shutouts isn’t. Four games, three shutouts. This week, he robbed the Riots en route to a 4-0 victory. There are a lot of good goalies in BTSH…but he maybe the best of the best at this point.
5th Star *****

Sarah Moore gets the 5th Star this week. She is the second girl to eclipse the one goal mark and followed up her tally with a goal in the shootout. It was a huge game for one of BTSH’s finest.
Its important to note that Caroline is undeserving to be in this picture, but because of time constraints, I couldn’t crop her out. [I thought time is “on our side?” – ED]
4th Star ****

Allison, B., you deserve better than the 4th star…though that’s all you’re getting this week.
As legend has it, Ali (as The Authority likes to call her…apparently) asked one of her teammates to borrow her stick, and told her, “This is the stick I’m going to score the overtime goal with.” We’ve checked with Snopes and the story checks out.
The question remains, what stick was she using prior to the OT?
Also, check out Jamie’s, “Happy Hand.” Is there nothing this guy can’t do? Oh yeah, win in regulation for the Gremmies.

Richie, is that actually Tuques Tim in the picture? If so, he’s playing Contra. You should try to be more accurate in your beer league blog posts.
^ ^ v v B A Select Start.
For the record, it didn’t post the carats that pointed “left, right, left, right” before B and A. Evidently WordPress isn’t a fan of Contra and would rather pretend I was entering empty HTML code.
