\nHat Tricks, Hat Tricks, Hat Tricks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zac H.<\/strong>, the Pucks\u2019 Human Grease Fire (HGF), notched another triple-goal game with one of those goals scored on a crazy loft to himself that he batted in the net out of thin air.\u00a0 And when his team went to a shoot-out who do you think netted the winner?\u00a0 Yeah, welcome to the male rookie of the year conversation, HGF.<\/p>\n

James P. from Filthier<\/strong>, or better known as the Gentleman<\/strong>, has been streaking lately with 7 goals in the past 4 games to the tune of 1-1-2-3.\u00a0 En fuego!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Karsten P. from House LBS, Inc.<\/strong> cracked the Rehabs\u2019 near impenetrable defense and impregnable goalie not once, not twice, but three friggin\u2019 times.\u00a0 (Teach me.)<\/p>\n

Ariel I. from Fresh Kills<\/strong> may not wind up in the media discussion as much as he should, but the league certainly understands how lethal he is.\u00a0 For a player who thinks to pass first, he\u2019s quietly amassed 10 goals half-way through the season.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Brian K. from Denim Demons<\/strong> scored his first three goals of the season and has brought some much needed fire power to a stagnant Demon offense.<\/p>\n

SECOND STARS<\/strong>
\nUgh, Those Effing Herrs<\/strong><\/p>\n

This past Sunday the league and Math bid farewell to one of its loved members, Steph C.\u00a0 Steph hails from the Herr clan and is primarily responsible for the destructive debauchery and festive hi-jinx that Sarah and Cheeky reign upon us each week.\u00a0\u00a0 Sending Steph out West in style, her family got the party started on the sidelines by distributing beverages, heckling refs, and cheering on Math.\u00a0 Then they turned the clock back to 2015 by leading the charge to ACE Bar where BTSHers were celebrating Sarah\u2019s 21st<\/sup> birthday (again), throwing back spirits and dangling from the chandeliers.<\/p>\n

Well BTSH, we\u2019ve official got a problem, but it\u2019s a good one to have. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Those Multi-Game Goalies<\/strong><\/p>\n

You think it is rough running around with the temperature near August levels?\u00a0 Try heaping on layers of pads and equipment and then sliding, leaping, jumping, rolling, clenching and covering without a shift break or the protection of shade for a half.\u00a0 That\u2019s what Dave GDR (Riots)<\/strong>, Scott H (Poutine)<\/strong>, Jamie (Gremlins)<\/strong>, and Eitan (Free Agent)<\/strong> did for not just their own teams, but also a whole other game too.\u00a0 Thanks for stepping up and putting your health at risk for league dedication.\u00a0 Now please, reward yourself with some ice water and replenish those electrolytes.<\/p>\n

Not saying we\u2019ve heard anything official, but there\u2019s a whisper that the Goalie Union may use this as leverage in their CBA negotiations at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

FIRST STARS<\/strong>
\nBrady from Mega Touch<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the scorching heat of the day nearing its peak, and his winless team beginning to wilt, Brady pointed to the heavens and then accomplished the impossible.\u00a0 Cradling Tuckman\u2019s goalie ball a couple feet behind the goal line, he leaned into his inbounding shot and fired a laser directly down court that completed its journey by landing in the opposing team\u2019s net.\u00a0 The shock, disbelief, and fear (along with perspiration blinding the Gremmie\u2019s net minder) that paralyzed the opposition only revived Mega with a sense of hope and determination.\u00a0 On his next shift he joined his team\u2019s offensive rush, creating an odd-man advantage, and taking a pass from a forward he shot it over the goalie\u2019s right shoulder for the game-winning-goal.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a Mega performance.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mega Touch, baby!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has taken all season for last season\u2019s formerly-known-as-Greene-division champs to taste victory again, and oh how sweet it was.\u00a0 (You know, they say hunger is the best spice.)\u00a0 Mega\u2019s strong defensive efforts led by Joe, Larry & Co. stymied the Gremlins prolific offense by creating turnovers in the neutral zone (uh, that area around mid-court), odd-man rushes (see above) and limiting Cody to a single goal.\u00a0 It was a complete team effort to win the match up against a divisional foe and survive the oppressive heat of the early afternoon.<\/p>\n

Take note BTSH, Mega\u2019s got its groove back.<\/p>\n

\nThe Wonder Women of BTSH:<\/strong> last week Tia<\/strong> from Dark Rainbows rounded up a posse of some of the toughest, craziest and wildest ladies in the league to check out DC\u2019s Heroine.\u00a0 Inspired by the Amazon Princess\u2019 performance they were tearing it up on Sunday and afterwards seen grabbing Chris\u2019 left and right for a little sugar.\u00a0 You go, girls.<\/p>\n
