{"id":19441,"date":"2018-09-08T12:24:21","date_gmt":"2018-09-08T16:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.btsh.org\/bruise\/?p=19441"},"modified":"2018-09-08T12:32:50","modified_gmt":"2018-09-08T16:32:50","slug":"games-to-watch-for-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.miyagimedia.com\/bruise\/games-to-watch-for-2\/","title":{"rendered":"GAMES TO WATCH FOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Arya Stark<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With just one week left in the regular season before rain day tournaments, 70s proms and, eventually, playoffs, there\u2019s a lot at stake for teams across the league.\u00a0 Games to watch for on the final day of the 2018 regular season:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.btsh.org\/bruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/what-to-watch.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19442\" src=\"https:\/\/www.btsh.org\/bruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/what-to-watch-300x81.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"148\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.miyagimedia.com\/bruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/what-to-watch-300x81.png 300w, https:\/\/www.miyagimedia.com\/bruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/what-to-watch-768x208.png 768w, https:\/\/www.miyagimedia.com\/bruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/what-to-watch-1024x277.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 548px) 100vw, 548px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div><b><u><br \/>\nMathematics vs Butchers<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<div>This pivotal showdown pits the current 14 and 15 seeds against each other with seedings very much on the line.\u00a0 The winner of this match will have to face the suddenly surging Rainbows (winners of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.btsh.org\/bruise\/breaking-news-dark-rainbows-sign-yetter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.btsh.org\/bruise\/breaking-news-dark-rainbows-sign-yetter\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1536463921769000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEEZabaXQxI75BsmPodJmdliZQDew\">Blakwolf Sweepstakes<\/a>) in round one, while the loser will most likely get an arguably more favorable matchup with Gut Rot.\u00a0 The subsequent opponents, barring said upset, would be LBS\u00a0<span class=\"il\">for<\/span>\u00a0the winner and probably Fuzz\u00a0<span class=\"il\">for<\/span>\u00a0the loser.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a tough path either way but as much as people may stress about potential future matchups and such, everyone wants to go into the playoffs on a high note.\u00a0 These teams are the classic could-beat-or-lose-to-anyone types; going into the playoffs, both will be be a dangerous first round matchup<\/div>\n<div><b>Storyline:<\/b>\u00a0One Herr in, one Herr out; Sarah&#8217;s back from injury and gearing up\u00a0<span class=\"il\">for<\/span>\u00a0the playoffs, but Cheeky is finally giving hers (pun intended) a break to heal and recover.\u00a0 Will that #herrnation swing be enough to give Sarah&#8217;s squad the victory?\u00a0 Or will Math be defeated, giving the Butchers the 14 seed and making Becca very, very happy.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><b><u><br class=\"m_-3591478608491208471m_-2690987941157803723gmail-Apple-interchange-newline\" \/>Gouging Anklebiters vs Filthier<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<div>This game probably has the most playoff implications of them all.\u00a0 Filthier, having lost last week&#8217;s pivotal showdown with the LBS, can&#8217;t claim the division title, but a win would clinch 4th place\u00a0<span class=\"il\">for<\/span>\u00a0them (Fresh Kills would not be able to catch them due to Filthy having swept the season series).\u00a0 A loss, however, would open up that #4 spot\u00a0<span class=\"il\">for<\/span>\u00a0the Fresh Kills, unlikely but possibly\u00a0<span class=\"il\">for<\/span>\u00a0the Rehabs, and the longshot of a late Poutine surge to #4.\u00a0 Meanwhile, the Biters can&#8217;t catch anyone in front of them, but they need to win to prevent the teams behind from gaining ground on them.\u00a0 If they lose, Poutine is definitely going to pass them.\u00a0 The Gremlins will most likely grab a better seed as well.\u00a0 That would drop the Biters all the way down to 9th, although it really wouldn&#8217;t make that big a difference because whether they drop to 8 or 9, their first round matchup remains those very same Gremlins.<br \/>\n<b>Storyline:<\/b>\u00a0Besides the playoff race, all eyes will be on Probie to see if he can take down the scoring title.\u00a0 He&#8217;ll have a tough test ahead of him with his final game being against elite goalie and DJ extraordinaire Tim K.<br \/>\n<b><u><br \/>\nRehabs vs Fuzz<br \/>\n<\/u><\/b>This was the game that was circled on everyone&#8217;s calendar since the schedule came out and, of course, the release of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.btsh.org\/bruise\/week-11-previews-part-2-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.btsh.org\/bruise\/week-11-previews-part-2-2\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1536463921770000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFNRe2ohTaMd6Vf9gz4pB8v487vNA\">the letter<\/a>.&#8221;\u00a0 In the past two months the hype and bad blood have ratcheted down a few levels to the point that Rich &amp; Hicks were seen hanging out and not constantly throwing each other into fences in Ocean City before having their souls crushed by Fuzz captain Jeff <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q64eGfb1M1U\">in the final<\/a>.\u00a0 Fuzz can&#8217;t drop below #2, but needs this game to maintain any hope of finishing #1 overall, although it would require a Cobra Kai loss on Sunday (in either of their remaining games).\u00a0 The Rehabs, meanwhile, can pass Filthy if they win, Filthy loses and the Rehabs make up eight goals of differential.<br \/>\n<b>Storyline:\u00a0<\/b>Besides the Hicks defection, this has been one of the premier rivalries of the past couple years, giving us such classic storylines as the 2016 President&#8217;s Trophy Race (eventually won by Fuzz, with Rehabs winning the ship), the 2017 playoff classic (won by the Rehabs 1-0) and, of course, the fence shove heard &#8217;round the world.\u00a0 Will Fuzz finally get over the hump this year and beat their archrivals?\u00a0 Having Glanzer miss the game is an excellent start.<br \/>\n<b><u><\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><u><br \/>\nCobra Kai vs Gremlins<br \/>\n<\/u><\/b>This Southeast Division showdown will decide the #1 seed in the league, which really doesn&#8217;t mean much in BTSH but is better than nothing (arguably).\u00a0 By the time this game happens, Fuzz will have already played the Rehabs and Cobra Kai will have already played Mega.\u00a0 Assuming CK &amp; Fuzz pick up the same # of points in these games, the Gremlins showdown will give Cobra Kai a shot at the #1 overall seed which I&#8217;m assuming would be their first President&#8217;s Trophy in franchise history.\u00a0 Older people can fact check this as I have literally nothing to go on except a vague feeling, although that seems to work pretty well\u00a0<span class=\"il\">for<\/span>\u00a0Zisser at the strip club.\u00a0 Anyway, strippers aside &#8211;
