This week we feature Rehabs goalie Hilary Meyer. Not only is she one of the best goalies in the league (she was in the top five in save percentage last year), she also happens to be the only female goalie currently playing in BTSH. She’s also a kick ass ice hockey goalie. But why are we telling you this? It’s time for Hilary to tell us a little more about herself …<\/em><\/p>\n

When did you first start playing hockey?<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been taking tennis ball slap shots at my little brother since I was about 10 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What’s your athletic experience outside of BTSH?<\/p>\n

Dodging oncoming cars whilst dressed in goalie pads as I run, Frogger-style, across Avenue A to the deli for paper bag beers. That, and playing ice at Lasker.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What makes your team special?<\/p>\n

Our team leadership in MDF and Kehoe… and Andre Legaspi’s sweet ass gloves.<\/span><\/p>\n

You’re the only female goalie in the league. Any thoughts about that?<\/p>\n

Just like most of the guy goalies at BTSH, I\u2019m just trying to keep balls out of my face.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What’s your best street hockey experience?<\/p>\n

Chanting \u201cRehabs\u201d incessantly at Ace Bar.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What’s one thing we should we know about you that we don’t?<\/p>\n
