<\/a><\/p>\nColor<\/strong>: Dark Blue <\/p>\n The last two seasons have not gone well for the Gouging Anklebiters.\u00a0 Despite\u00a0a 16th place finish in 2007, they made few changes in the offseason preceding 2008.\u00a0 As a result, they only managed to move up one spot in the standings, and their season ended after losing to a shorthanded Bad Touch squad in\u00a0a play-in game.<\/p>\n Sensing that standing pat could yield similar results in 2009,\u00a0captain Phil “Sandy” Donohue was a lot more active this past winter.\u00a0 First, he successfully brought\u00a0former ‘Biter Nestor Nonato back to the team after a two year absence.\u00a0 Nonato will bring a jolt of energy to the sometimes pedestrian ‘Biters attack.\u00a0 Second,\u00a0Donohue added BTSH veteran Sarah Moore, who transferred from the Tuques.\u00a0 Moore is hoping for a better fit with her new team and potentially more media exposure.\u00a0 Finally, Donohue signed free agent Erik Johnson (though not this\u00a0Erik Johnson<\/a>, we think), who reportedly grew up playing with New Jersey Devils forward Zach Parise.\u00a0 According to Donohue, Johnson is “pretty awesome.”<\/p>\n Food They Closely Resemble:<\/strong> Beer<\/em>.\u00a0Often bubbly, always good for a party, and usually found in bars, they are well-liked by just about everyone (except maybe that one stout\u2026which is more of an acquired taste).\u00a0\u00a0 Unfortunately, all of the good times often preclude people from regarding them in a serious manner.
