GOTW: Denim Demons at LBS, Inc.<\/h4>\n

Our second Game of the Week features the Denim Demons and LBS, Inc., in a rematch of a very memorable semifinal game from last year’s playoffs, which was won by the Corporation, 2-0.\u00a0 Both teams won last week, with LBS, Inc. looking impressive against the Gouging Anklebiters, and the Demons looking not as impressive against Cobra Kai.<\/p>\n

Keys for the Denim Demons:<\/strong>
Make sure Jeff Kamen shows up.\u00a0 His two goals last week accounted for all of their scoring in their win over the Dojo.\u00a0 If he can’t be there, then make sure Zack Tinkelman can.\u00a0 He is also very capable of a multiple-goal outburst.\u00a0 And above all else, hope that the poetic justice they were served in the playoffs last year has run its course.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Tupac<\/a>

Tupac hopes the Demons and Lbs. can end this east court\/west court rivalry before any more lives are taken, or before Dave Gil de Rubio has to play net again for LBS.<\/p><\/div>Keys for LBS, Inc.:<\/strong>
In a word, goaltending.\u00a0 When league stalwart and LBS, Inc. goalie Seth moved to Vancouver towards the end of last season, the Corporation had to find a new goalie for the first time in what seemed like an eternity.\u00a0 They quickly locked up one of the league’s top goalies, Tim Brown, before the season ended, ensuring they would not skip a beat with the goaltending change.\u00a0 And if Tim has to miss a game, they can always borrow Dave Gil de Rubio (just not this week…the Riots play at the same time).<\/p>\n

\"Dave<\/a>

Dave is gonna sit this Demons\/LBS. game out.
On another note, this is why I’m Richie Hero. I actually took a random picture of Dave last week.
Hero!<\/p><\/div>Prediction:<\/strong>
The Demons are the most-hated team in the league, and it’s not even close.\u00a0 Hate them as much as you want, but last season is in the past, and they still have a ton of talent.\u00a0 That talent will be on display Sunday, as the Demons notch a 3-2 win.
Rich’s Pick:<\/strong> Every game is Game 7 for the Demons. The Lbs. play it a little cooler in the regular season so they can turn it up in the postseason. This will be a clean, friendly 4-1 victory for the Demons.
Derek’s Pick:<\/strong> The Corporation forces this into OT, but can only muster a point and lose 4-3 in BTSH’s first regular season shootout that goes beyond three rounds.<\/p>\n

Other Games<\/h4>\n

Gremlins at Happy Little Elves<\/strong>
Hooray!\u00a0 After a one-year hiatus, the Fairy Tale Cup series is returning!\u00a0 And while the Cup is still imaginary, it is no longer prestigious.\u00a0 Any luster it once had was lost in 2012 when Trevor befouled it after an all-night bender.\u00a0 The Elves currently hold the Cup, and take a big step towards retaining it with a 4-2 win on Sunday.
Rich’s Pick:<\/strong>\u00a0Trevor is out of state and on the Lbs. We can do better than this Elly. Elves 4, Gremmies 2.
Derek’s Pick:<\/strong> The Elves may be the only ones who realize the Fairy Tale Cup exists, so they’ll have more to play for here.\u00a0 By the way, who noticed Rob Walsh’s hat trick last week, ironically coming just minutes after Glanzer told me how bad he is.\u00a0 Weird.\u00a0 5-2 Elves.<\/p>\n

What The Puck at Corlears Hookers

Like Pacquiao and Mayweather…this battle never happened when it should have.<\/p><\/div>This is a match I would have loved to see back in the day. Something always came up to prevent the Hookers and WTP from meeting with all of their guys from 2009-2011, when these two teams were clearly the best in the league. (No offense Fresh Kills…you weren’t there yet) Now we aren’t sure what WTP is, but if last weeks game is any indication, they have a really good goalie (score didn’t indicate how well he played) and a really fun team. Expect a spirited game but a \u00a0Hookers victory.\u00a0
Eli’s Pick: <\/strong>Corlears Hookers takes the W.
Derek’s Pick:<\/strong> Unfortunately, I see a few weeks of growing pains in WTP’s future (they face La Famiglia and LBS, Inc. coming out of the Easter break).\u00a0 Keep working, guys; the wins will come, and the regular season doesn’t matter.\u00a0 But for now…the Hookers take this one.<\/p>\n

Tompkins Square Riots at Fresh Kills<\/strong>

Davy pets Goliath…not shown is Goliath peeing on Davy.<\/p><\/div>This is David vs. Goliath. But unlike this fun Christian claymation cartoon of our (my) youth, this game won’t be all that much fun for the Riots. I love when I’m proven wrong. I hope I’m proven wrong. 7-0 FK. (Derk pay attention) Riots, if you win, I will buy 7 of you a beer. But the deal is if you lose by 7, you have to buy me one (Bud Light bottle). Comment on the website if you agree. (Nick Baretta, no fake handles like you did with Cobra Kai!)
Eli’s Pick:<\/strong> Fresh Kills 5, Tompkins Square Riots 1…unless Scott Lee mistakenly wears his red shirt and plays for the Riots.\u00a0 Then, all bets are off.

Luisa apparently has found a protege.<\/p><\/div>Rachel “The Infiltrator” \u00a0will infiltrate Dark Rainbows zone like she infiltrated our mens-only Wrestlemania event. Kai taskmaster, Greg “whistle….penalty on Adela” Altman, gave the Demons a good run…I’m calling for a slight Glanzer Upset Special here…and giving Cobra Kai a 3-2 victory.
Eli’s Pick:<\/strong> Rem Garavito leads the Rainbows to a 3-2 victory against his former squad, but injures himself during his goal celebration.
