Corlears Hookers at LBS, Inc. (by Eli)<\/strong>
The championship game rematch normally takes place on Opening Day, but due to “rain fears”, this is the first meeting between last year’s championship game participants, with the winner getting sole possession of first place in the Brown Division.\u00a0 The Corlears Hookers suffered their first loss of the season last week and are coming into this game angry.\u00a0 Well, those who were there last week are angry.\u00a0 Those who weren’t, like Jason, or Danilo, or Gavin…probably not so much. But it doesn’t really matter, as Corlears rebounds with a 4-2 win.
Derek’s Pick:<\/em> A tight, 3-2 win for the Hookers.
Rich’s Pick:<\/em> I bet Noelle, Tiffany, and Sam aren\u2019t angry either. Tim Brown isn\u2019t playing for the Lbs., so I\u2019m not picking them. Or else he will fire me. 4-3 Hookers.<\/p>\n

What The Puck at Gouging Anklebiters (by Eli)
<\/strong>Are we back to the point where we try to say as little as possible about What The Puck? Judges? Oh, okay, then. Anklebiters with the win.
Derek’s Pick:<\/em> The final result wasn’t especially eye-pleasing for WTP last week, but I do commend them maintaining some level of intensity, even in garbage time.\u00a0 Putting up two goals against the Demons is still worth something.\u00a0 Having said that, I think the Biters take this one.
Rich’s Pick:<\/em> No Elly\u2026we are at the point where we are saying as little as possible about every game but the GOTW. Anklebiters with the win.<\/p>\n

Happy Little Elves at Sky Fighters (by Eli)<\/strong>
We called it in last week’s GOTW preview.\u00a0 The Elves beat Fresh Kills.\u00a0 And a date with co-division leader La Famiglia awaits the Elves after the July 4th break (USA! USA!).\u00a0 So you know what that means?\u00a0 Call it a trap game, call it a letdown, but with the Sky Fighters playing much better in recent weeks, this one has upset written all over it. Sky Fighters stun the Elves, 3-2.
Derek’s Pick: <\/em>Nah, I’ll stick with the Elves.\u00a0 A solid 5-2 victory for the Guys in Green.
Rich’s Pick: <\/em>If the season ended today, the Elves would be seeded #1. I hope the season ends today. Including the playoffs. Mostly because I\u2019m tired of Bryan Welch running to me about goalie balls\u2026but also bc we would be the 2014 champs. Either way, we\u2019ll be ready. We may not win, but it wont be because we are looking behind or ahead, it’s because the Sky Fighters are good. Even Stein. Sometimes, especially Stein. Suck it Stein. Jerk.<\/p>\n
