Filthier at Lbs POUNDS, Inc
by A Young Padawan and their Jedi Master

The POUNDS are coming off a hot recent win against Cobra Kai. Not only do they have this big win to celebrate but the team also had a recent engagement (congrats to Avery and Micayla!!!). They are going to be a difficult team to beat, averaging more than 4 goals a game and coming off a 6 game winning streak. Even more impressive is Karsten and Scotty K.’s 9 goals each, placing them as 3rd and 4th ranked in the goal standings.

They’re like the best thing since sliced Lb cake!

While the Lbs were enjoying their cake and eating it too (still confirming if it was pound cake or Oreo cake), Filthier was strategizing. They average 3 goals a game and have Greg K, Sunny, and James racking up the goals as well. Several other members of their team have contributed this season (Jaime, Sean, Ann, and J.J. A.), which makes them a force to be reckoned with. (more…)

Dearest Friends,

Once again, you have a fantastic opportunity to see history made right in your backyard! If you haven’t heard, Bob “The White Haired Wizard” Baffert’s horse Justify won the Preakness this past weekend – in other words – Belmont Stakes is a Triple Crown race (last winner American Pharoah in 2015). The third and final leg of the Triple Crown takes place on June 9th!!!

You can’t lose if you bet on every single horse!

While all those details might not be too relevant to you, they should be! Belmont Park caps attendance at ~100k and there’s a good possibility it will sell out for this historic event. Therefore, I highly recommend purchasing your tickets relatively soon, details can be found below: (more…)

Three Rainbows of Week 8

Third Rainbow
Alex F of LBS

Arya came up to me to personally nominate Jenn’s left breast (again) but that coveted star goes to Frey himself – it was a tough matchup Sunday between two highly competitive teams, Cobra Kai and LBS.

Damn gurl.

LBS came from behind to tie the game in the second half, due in no small part to some impressive weaving from the aforementioned man wearing PJ pants, sending a pass to Tommy for the tying goal.

Ya’ll can argue as much as you want about shootouts – Do they even count! They suck! Garbage way to win! In my day we didn’t have iPhone video replay! Blah blah blah! – and admittedly I hate participating in them but damn are they some high drama to watch.

LBS and Cobra Kai each got a piece into the net before Alex’s turn, who sunk it in neatly to bring CK’s 2018 win streak to an end. (more…)

Not Three Stars of Week 8

Tuesday, June 5th, 2018

by Richiehero

Each week we celebrate 3 players who are better than all of us, and give them stars. This results in a league wide inferiority complex since it sucks not being better than anyone.

However the Mystery Miserable Misogynist is here to change all that…and give 3 Not Stars, to three people we are clearly better than! Since this has been the, “Year of the Woman” let’s keep that trend going by bashing three lovely, lovable ladies.

I’ve never held office in BTSH, but if I did, I’d print out 150 game sheets from my job at the SCPD, and make sure the stop watches were easy to find. During the Rainbows 12 p.m. (12:30 thanks Dave for being half an hour late) game vs. the Riots, there was no game sheet or stop watches. Luckily two men stepped up and heroically reffed the game without the much needed watch and paperwork. Thank you Cro and Sultan. Maybe it’s time to #BringSultanBack! (more…)

2018 Sky Fighters

Since the season started, people have been buzzing about the Sky Fighters’ new talent. Yeah, we’ve added a few new players… or, a lot a new players. But that happens when a team has been around since at least the early 2000s (winning the championship in 2008, I’ve been told). So, BTSH, please give a warm welcome to Emily, Aliza, Katie and Carlin, Matt, Christian, Young James, Sean, David and Joseph! Here are a few things you should know about the 2018 Sky Fighters: (more…)
