Not Three Stars of Week 8
June 5th, 2018by Richiehero
Each week we celebrate 3 players who are better than all of us, and give them stars. This results in a league wide inferiority complex since it sucks not being better than anyone.
However the Mystery Miserable Misogynist is here to change all that…and give 3 Not Stars, to three people we are clearly better than! Since this has been the, “Year of the Woman” let’s keep that trend going by bashing three lovely, lovable ladies.

I’ve never held office in BTSH, but if I did, I’d print out 150 game sheets from my job at the SCPD, and make sure the stop watches were easy to find. During the Rainbows 12 p.m. (12:30 thanks Dave for being half an hour late) game vs. the Riots, there was no game sheet or stop watches. Luckily two men stepped up and heroically reffed the game without the much needed watch and paperwork. Thank you Cro and Sultan. Maybe it’s time to #BringSultanBack! Read the rest of this entry »

Since the season started, people have been buzzing about the Sky Fighters’ new talent. Yeah, we’ve added a few new players… or, a lot a new players. But that happens when a team has been around since at least the early 2000s (winning the championship in 2008, I’ve been told). So, BTSH, please give a warm welcome to Emily, Aliza, Katie and Carlin, Matt, Christian, Young James, Sean, David and Joseph! Here are a few things you should know about the 2018 Sky Fighters: Read the rest of this entry »
Around the League – Week 8
June 3rd, 2018The Dark Rainbows earned their first W (circa 2016) by shutting out the Riots during a make up game. Cat was all high-fives and hugs on the sidelines.
Fresh Kills made sure their game against Poutine was decided in regulation and took home the two points.
New look Sky Fighters are starting to come together and had fun handing the Riots their second loss of the day.
Fuzz thwarted the Rainbows, but they didn’t care. That high from winning will last a loooooong time. Read the rest of this entry »

Dark Rainbows @ Tompkins Square Riots, Second Half
By Khalia Kazoo
. . . which was a ridiculously good play.
Oh, what? You don’t remember the first half of that sentence? Well, we barely remember the first half of the Riots vs Rainbows game, since it was so long ago & we were all seeking shelter from the storm at the bar. But we did hear it was a super close game, with the Rainbows up 1-0 when the game was called.
Prediction: Can the Rainbows keep their lead? Will refs remember to show up for the conclusion of this game? Will the rain hold off to allow them to finish this game? We think the answer to each of these questions is “yes.”
Rainbows beat the Riots 3-2 in a shootout. Read the rest of this entry »
