Franchise Four: Fresh Kills
February 11th, 2016When you have the longevity and the sustained success that Fresh Kills does, the candidate pool is going to be considerably larger than it is for other teams. Nevertheless, the selection committee is bound to only pick four players for each team, so the honorable mention here will just have to be a little deeper. And despite being in the league since its early years, this franchise can reasonably be split into two eras, the years prior to and after the Riots split after the 2009 season. We considered players from both eras, including those who spanned both, and here’s who made the cut.

You’ve Got Male
February 9th, 2016I must say, we are tickled pink that the priorities and values of the BTSH Lady are finally taking center stage. Sam was a doll to scratch the surface with this formidable piece of journalism, however we wonder (as much as our female minds are able to) if he stopped short of truly showcasing all the dimensions of the modern BTSH woman. We looked to an experienced journalist, Ms. Ophelia Baulls, to dive deeper into these deep dishes. We hope you enjoy the feature.

It was not easy picking four from this group, as so many make viable arguments as to why they are worthy.

February 4th, 2016When Ben Chadwick scores 3 goals in one game vs. you, you are not on a great franchise (May 2, 2010, Chadtrick). But that all changed with the emergence of one family. Will any of them make the Franchise Four? Not if Elly has anything to say about it. (And he does, he was one of the 3 people who voted) But those pesky Norris’ won’t go away quietly.
Who would have thought how competitive and mean Rebecca Norris turned out to be.
