Three Heroes – Week 11
Sorry for the delay and that First Division Preview is on its way I promise. But it’s time to do the 3 Stars…Hero’s!
Now in hockey, the First Star is the best, but I feel 3 Hero’s are better than 1.
One Hero – The Ladies of Poutine
In what may have been a finals preview, Poutine squared off with Cobra Kai. While there was an unfortunate interruption that delayed the game approximately 30-40 minutes, the actual game was electric (most likely, I was playing on the other side so I didn’t see any of it). While Cara scored two goals for the team with no mercy, she was no match for the team of Little Mel, Jenna and Oriana, who led Poutine to a 4-3 victory.
Two Heroes – Zuck
In one of the bigger upsets of the BTSH season, Division 4 Riots, defeated Division 2 Instant Karma 5-2. Riots Supreme Leader Zuk was a wall defensively and led the charge offensively with 2 goals…hence the two Hero’s. Sam, Antonio and Berk also scored for the Riots. Cam was solid in net. If the league standings are correct, which nobody really knows, the Riots are just a half a point away from 12th place and getting the Dekes in the Play In round. Congrats to all.
Three Heroes – The Gouging Anklebiters
Mega vs. the Anklebiters seemed like this was going to be a comfortable Mega win…especially since the Biters were short and wanted to forfeit 10 minutes before ball drop. But they added FAs Aydan and Phil and gave it a go. Haley and the woman who never signed in, played the whole game and kept it relatively close, with Mega winning 4-1 with approximately 6 minutes left. But to the Biters credit, they never gave up and scored a late goal, making it 4-2. The Biters scored again, injured Tash and with 16 seconds left Lucas scored on a breakaway to tie the game. Much like Spain, but with a lot less diving, the Biters didn’t need a shootout as one of their players scored in OT for the win.

But props to Alex and Zisser for making it back from AC, after a night of severe partying.
