The Top Five BTSHers You Should Friend on Facebook

August 7th, 2014

These days, it seems pretty much everyone is on Facebook (well, everyone besides #coreywinters and Georgine)…and although we’re pretty much all friends with each other in BTSH, it’s a big enough league that a few people may have slipped through the cracks.  Fear not, here are the top five people you need to friend immediately:

Honorable Mention 1:
Eli Kazin, Mathematics

elifb

Eli Kazin, proud member of the 2003-2004 Tampa Bay Lightning

I’m purposely leaving Eli out of the top 5, because he’s a media member, and I’d hate to be accused of nepotism (even thought that’s actually kind of the point of this article).  However, if you’re not already friends with Eli, you need to get on that.  Although he rarely posts, and when he does, it’s usually just a picture of CitiField or MSG to tell you he’s at a sporting event, having Eli as a friend means you’re guaranteed at least one “Happy Birthday” post on your wall every time your special day rolls around.  Without fail.  Seriously, the man is a Happy Birthday Machine, and he doesn’t miss anyone.  Just make sure you personally thank him afterwards.

Honorable Mention 2:
Jackie Spiegel, Corlears Hookers

We think this is Jackie.

We think this is Jackie.

Obviously, this one depends on your sporting preferences (which is why it’s only an HM), but if you’re a Rangers or Mets fan, Jackie’s got the goods.  Better yet, her page is riddled with selfies, which more people really need to be doing.  And if that isn’t your bag, she’s also big on posting pics of her dog, Ranger, which is worth a page view in itself.  You’re basically going here for her Instagram.

you see her. Plus she's quietly putting up a stellar season with 2 goals and ***at least*** one really nifty assist.

Rehabs at Gremmies

Rich: Gremlins 3-1
Derek: Last week, the Rehabs won 3-2.  That sounds good to me.
Eli: This game went to a shootout last week, but we see the Rehabs taking this one in regulation, 2-0.

Cobra Kai at Mathematics

Rich: Didn’t this used to be a rivalry? That’s as dead as the Fairy Tale Cup. CK 4-3 in what’s not really an upset.
Derek: I’d be pretty upset.

Gut Rot at Mega Touch

Rich: Gut Rot prevails 4-1
Derek: Mega’s really struggled this season, and Gut Rot looks decent again.  4-1 Gutties.
Eli: Gut Rot looked impressive last week. We see more of the same, as Gut Rot triumphs 5-2.

Happy Little Elves at Filthy Gorgeous

Rich: Elves got smoked last week. Filthy is sorta on fire. James and Suvin have best hockey duo on lockdown.
Derek: I’m watching Rudy on MSG right now, and the movie uses fake names for all of the players.  I guess I can understand that, but how cool would it have been to see a young Joe Montana floating around?  6-0 James Pereira.
Eli: We feel like the Elves have had Filthy’s number of late, and see that trend continuing.  Elves rebound with a 4-2 win.

Chill out assholes, I'm not giving myself a star for predicting WTP's epic upset over the Demons.

August 3rd Preview: Part II

Corlears Hookers at Happy Little Elves (by Eli)
Well this should be fun!  The Hookers lead the Brown Division and have the league’s second best record.  The Elves lead the $h0wT!m3 Division and have the league’s best record.  Dustin played the first half of the All-Star Game in goal for the Heels.  Steve played the second half of the All-Star Game in goal for the Heels.  We could go on and on, but we’ll just say that you should show up early to watch this one.  Multiple Glanzers are already confirmed to be in attendance.  And they’ll be rewarded with a 3-2 Elves victory.

This is a not a Glanzer, but it is an Elf.
